What You'll Get
Flying lessons provide a greater sense of aerial accomplishment than hijacking a kite from a child. Stop getting punched by moms with this Groupon.
$119 for a 30-Minute Discovery Flying Lesson with Video ($325 Value)
A certified flight instructor welcomes you into the cockpit of a Cessna aircraft. Once in the air, you'll take the controls and experience the thrill of flight, soaring over Los Angeles' famous architecture and landscapes. Afterward, instructors send newly christened fliers home with a training logbook and video of the flight—perfect for sharing online or making a penguin feel bad about its limitations.
A propeller roars to life and a plane lifts into the air. The towering buildings of Los Angeles, the dense trees of nearby national forests, and the sprawling waters of the Pacific Ocean come into view as the aircraft soars higher and higher. The pilot at the controls is confident and at ease—which is unexpected, since it's his first time flying. One of California Aviators' certified instructors sits by his side, walking the new pilot through every step of the adventure.
California Aviators' pilots unlock the magic of flight during outings just like these. Aside from beginner discovery flights, the expert staff also leads a summer aviation camp for young adults aged 12–16. The flying facility also houses piston-engine aircraft and a flight simulator with programs for planes, helicopters, and pegasuses.

About Fighter Combat Inc
The fighter plane's 300-horsepower engine lets out a roar, lifting the plane from the runway. Guiding the plane into the sky, the pilot pursues an enemy aircraft, following its maneuvers and attempting to lock on while the g-force exerted at a 600-mile-per-hour closure rate pushes each pilot back into their seat.
At Fighter Combat Inc, experienced pilots— most trained in military air combat—let guests feel what it's like to fly a plane and engage in aerial warfare. After supplying students with authentic flight suits, instructors teach tactical basics through a blend of classroom training, safety briefings, and lectures. An instructor then leads student pilots through one-on-one, in-air simulated combat that resembles sequences from Top Gun and The Adventures of Milo and Otis, coaching them to out-maneuver their opponent. Every facet of the experience upholds military protocol, and a camera mounted in the cockpit takes photos and records videos of clients operating the controls.
