Capoeira Maculelê is Atlanta’s 6x Award Winning Capoeira Academy located in the City of Decatur. We offer beginner friendly and advance Capoeira classes for ages 3-5, 6-13 and 14+. Our classes consist of Martial Arts, Acrobatics, Music, Dance, Fitness and more. Come check us out!

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

We can add this: Capoeira Maculelê is a non-profit organization and a Capoeira martial arts center located in Decatur, GA. Our Capoeira school was founded by Capoeira Mestre Fran and Mestra Sara in 1991. We are an active member of the Atlanta community working with numerous children’s and cultural to promote this healthy and enriching martial art to people of all ages!

What do you love most about your job?

_ When you join a capoeira group, you become part of a family. You will definitely make new friends along the way. You will meet people from your own city and all over the world through capoeira events and practice._

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

Mestre Fran is an amazing teacher and human being. He and his family put so much love and skill into their teaching that it is an inspiration to learn from them!
