Scientists agree that children are our future, which is why most children are sealed in time capsules with a flashlight and a stack of magazines. Give a child something he or she will really dig with today's deal: for $12, you get one all-day artventure class for kids (a $25 value) at The Center for Visual Artists in Greensboro. The CVA encourages kids to explore the shadowy valleys and sun-blasted peaks of their creativity by offering art-filled Artventure Days, where youths from pre-K to 8th grade can draw, paint, and play their way toward the riches and fame enjoyed by all artists. Supplies are included, and the kids' only homework is to unleash their inner artist while keeping their inner Van Gogh away from any unwary ears. No more than 15 students are enrolled in each class, ensuring low student-teacher ratios and an optimal learning environment. Artventure Days run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are scheduled to take place on January 21, March 29, April 18–21, and April 25 (extra class dates will be added in case of a large response). For $5 extra, kids can stay for an extended day that runs through 5:30 p.m.
