What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We believe our school to be unique not only in the type and quality of programs we offer, but also in our ability to cater to various interests and all ages. Classical Martial Arts is a proud member of the Zen Bei Butoku Kai International. We specialize in Japanese karate and kobudo (weaponry).

Is your location strictly for adults, or can kids participate as well?
Ages 4 and up are welcome.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Sensei John Gaddis started Classical Martial Arts with his brother James after spending over 20 years training and teaching in the Detroit area. After falling in love with Pittsburgh years ago, they moved to continue their passion of teaching martial arts and have enjoyed it every day since!

What do you love most about your job?
The greatest part about teaching martial arts is seeing the positive impact it has on people of all ages, physical or psychological. Adults get to release tension and stress, children gain increased confidence and discipline, and it’s an honor seeing people achieve their personal goals here!
