Say no to taxation without caffeination with today's deal: for $5, you get $10 worth of coffee, teas, and more at Coffee Connection on South State Street.
Winner of 2008's Best Study Spot in Salt Lake City Weekly, Coffee Connection offers a relaxed hangout with enough caffeinated concoctions to fuel humans past midnight. Coffee Connection's wide-reaching drink menu starts with a fresh, regular-size cup of dark, medium, or flavored joe ($2.05 for 16 ounces). Pull a cram session for a bowling tournament with the All-Nighter, a cup of coffee boosted with a double shot of espresso ($2.55 for 16 ounces). CC also offers a trifle of tea ($2.90 for a 16-ounce hot tea) with an assortment of Rishi varieties, carrying green, black, rooibos, and organic herbals for leafy liquid consumption. There are also more elaborate cup fillers, such as iced or blended bubble tea, and bowl fillers, such as oatmeal topped with brown sugar or a bowl of soup (served with a roll, $6.05).
Coffee Connection's mellow background music and rotating selection of art fosters a calm, study-friendly atmosphere, and free WiFi means you can easily search for photos of dogs being ridden by children. About Coffee Connection
The staff at Coffee Connection understands that few of its clients seek a coffeehouse atmosphere just for the drip selection. Instead, it follows its “not just a place to sit and sip” mantra by separating the shop into a lounge, study hall, main lobby, and two outdoor patios. No matter their location of choice, patrons sip coffee while gazing at pieces by local artists and surfing the Web on one of two full-enterprise WiFi connections.
