Kurt really is the best piano instructor you'll find. I appreciate that he approaches learning an instrument in the same way that we learn a language - you've just got to start playing! He won't throw a book at you and expect you to learn how to read notes first; your first day is getting acquainted with the piano and playing a simple tune. He's easy to work with in that he will do virtual or in person lessons, he's flexible in that he is available many hours of the day, and he'll only need your attention, and a pen and notebook. He makes learning so much fun; he doesn't over complicate things. If you have the time and the means, he is a great instructor. You won't be disappointed!

Mr. Kurt is great and has taught our daughter so much in a short time period, highly recommend.

Mr. Kurt is a fantastic piano instructor. My 6-year-old son has taken piano lessons with him for a few months and has learned so much in that short period of time. What I enjoy most about Mr. Kurt’s teaching style is that he strikes the perfect balance of discipline and high expectation with fun. From the beginning, Mr. Kurt establishes an environment that encourages students to put forth their best effort and full concentration. With Mr. Kurt’s guidance, my son has flourished and enjoys his lessons! I highly recommend Mr. Kurt and the Columbia School of Music.
