CORE40 Full Body sessions blend Pilates, strength training, and weight work; CORE40 Foundation covers the same ground, but it takes a more beginner-friendly approach. About CORE40 SoMa
Like Pilates, CORE40 workouts incorporate resistance equipment—more specifically, the Megaformer M3, which the studio's trainers compare to a Lamborghini because of its impeccable design and the fact that so many 12-year-old boys hang posters of it above their beds. However, the Megaformer is just one way that these sessions help strengthen cores and boost flexibility. While CORE40 has incorporated stationary biking to the programs, celebrity trainer Sebastien Lagree also designed them to incorporate other exercise modalities, such as weightlifting, to efficiently work out almost every muscle group. The resulting classes are refreshingly time efficient, clocking in at just 40 minutes.
