Cupcakes, like miniature ponies, are petite, fanciful, and easy to spread frosting on. Enjoy miniature treats with today’s Groupon: for $25, you get a box of 24 assorted classic and specialty Baby Bites mini cupcakes at Cups and Cakes (a $50 value).

Using local and organic ingredients, the bakers at Cups and Cakes whip up scrumptious baby cakes and top them with an artfully arranged plume of frosting. Play a tasty game of chance with the mini sampler, a box brimming with a baker's selection of freshly prepared bite-sized treats from the rotating menu, including basic and specialty flavors.

In addition to four baker-selected varieties, each mini-cupcake sampler always includes the following basic cupped cakes: deep dark-chocolate mini cakes crowned with chocolate buttercream and chocolate chips, luscious vanilla cupcakes covered by an awning of vanilla buttercream icing, and rich red velvet cupcakes with a coiffure of cream-cheese frosting. Delivery is available for an extra charge, enabling patrons to toast miniature treats from afar or ward off friendly office mobs of icing addicts.

About Cups and Cakes

At Cups and Cakes, pretty much anything goes. Cupcakes might be seven inches wide. Cakes might be only four. The toppings might even include fried chicken. This delight in bending the rules is thanks to owner Jennifer, who—since the day she ran out of cake mix in her home kitchen and had to try baking from scratch—has reveled in experimentation. As a self-taught baker, she's figured out how to decorate her creations by hand, mix batter the Bay Guardian called "moist and addictive," and even turn carrot cake, of all things, into one of the bakery's most popular flavors—even without having to sweeten it with radishes.

The complete list of 81 flavors bears plenty of surprising concoctions, including cherry cola, margarita (with tequila-infused frosting, of course), and the art house—a ginger-beet cake with ginger-cream-cheese frosting. Flavors can be ordered as oversized, regular, or miniature cupcakes, and can, when possible, accommodate various dietary needs, especially acute cupcake deficiencies.
