About Distillery 365
To taste the spirits of Distillery 365 is to taste New Mexico itself. Conceptualized during a bike ride on Trail 365 through the Sandia Mountain foothills, the company is determined to maintain (and distill) the spirit of its majestic state. To that end, each of its liquors begins with crops harvested locally, and is distilled right in Albuquerque. Read more about its premium, uniquely New Mexican elixirs:
Holy Ghost Vodka
Made from: locally grown corn and charcoal-filtered water
Like the ghost of a ninja, this spirit goes about its business without you even feeling that its there. Thanks to a dozen distillations there's no burn with this vodka. In fact, it's so pure that 365 even recommends drinking it neat. If that's not your style, order it in one of the distillery's epic bloody marys.
Made from: corn, juniper, and hops
Yes, you read that right. Hops. Of the neomexicanus varietal, to be exact. Very few hops strains are actually native to the US—no, not even cascades or centennials—but neomexicanus is one of them. Despite that, it's use is still rare even for brewing beer, let alone distilling gin. Get your tongue ready for tropical, fruity notes.
Tres Pistolas Bourbon
Made from: corn, purified water, rye, and smoked barley
With this straight bourbon, 365 is looking to give Kentucky distilleries a run for their money. You'll have to wait a bit to taste it, though—instead of buying pre-aged bourbon from a mass producer, they're aging it onsite for two years. Mark your calendars for 2017.
