In 1997, as the internet age dawned, four friends lounging in a college dorm room decided to start a tech company: DreamHost. More than 15 years later, their thriving company hosts more than one million domains for more than 400,000 customers, all with a collaborative philosophy. That philosophy, which earned a PC magazine Business Choice Award in 2014, shines through in their open-source software, their customer service, and, perhaps most uniquely, their willingness to take on their share of environmental responsibilities.
