At-risk children and children with physical and developmental challenges often miss out on activities such as sports and other recreational pursuits that can help maintain physical health, build camaraderie with peers, and improve quality of life. Dreams for Kids empowers youth with disabilities to realize their full potential through rewarding and challenging activities, including community leadership and adapted sports programs.
On August 27, Dreams for Kids will host a golf clinic as part of its Extreme Recess adaptive athletic program, giving youth with physical or developmental disabilities a chance to learn the fundamentals of swinging, putting, and quintuple bogey avoidance. Instructors will equip participants aged 4–24 with the necessary skills to continue playing golf after the clinic, whether independently or with their peers, thus providing a continued means of exercise, recreation, and social interaction.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help Dreams for Kids teach at-risk young people and youth with disabilities golf skills at an Extreme Recess golf clinic. If G-Team members raise $500, then Dreams for Kids can send 20 young people to the clinic. Funds cover the cost of the venue, food, beverage, and transportation. Each additional $25 will sponsor another kid to attend the golf clinic.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
