Elkhorn Ridge Golf Course challenges duffers to fire precise iron shots on a par 3 course dotted with mature trees & rolling hills
Golf obstacles parallel life challenges and reinforce conventional wisdom that the only way to escape rough patches is through excessive clubbing. Power through impediments with today's Groupon: for $13, you get two, nine-hole rounds of golf and one bucket of range balls at Elkhorn Ridge Golf Course in Elkhorn (up to a $26 value). Today's deal does not include a cart rental; carts are optional and may be rented for $8 per round. The club is currently closed for the season and hopes to reopen in late March, weather permitting.
The Elkhorn Ridge Golf Course is laid out over gently rolling hills and challenges golfers to maintain accurate iron play on the relatively short par 3 course. Before taking the course, players can warm up by firing off a shared bucket of range balls and challenging golfing buddies to tests of driving accuracy, distance, and accumulation of nervous palm sweat. The course stretches just over 1,200 yards as it winds past mature trees and undulating terrain. Though the longest hole measures to 173 yards, golfers are challenged to smack precise shots or risk recording bogeys and being forced to sacrifice an unruly putter into the nearest body of water.
