There's a sur-charge for everything. Extra $8 to put it in the kiln. extra $26 to glaze it.
So if you spend whatever it costs on this groupon, you get unfinished clay. I'm not sure if all other deals are like this, but be aware there's more charges if you want your work to resemble anything good.

My daughter and I took the 90 minute pottery class together. The instructor was knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and kind. The environment was the perfect place to learn a new craft and feel at ease doing so.

The gentleman was very aggressive with you "not going ahead" or straying from his instructions. I understand teaching us but I paid for the class, if I go ahead or make mistakes, thats half the fun of it. He made us feel bad for going ahead and he would come fix our pottery for us without me asking, I want it to be my own creation. The class felt very dictated and not fun. I will not be returning.

Class was lead by watching a video on a tv screen. The instructor would pause it, then tell you to do that step, then usually interject and just start shaping yoir piece when it wasn't going quite right instead of further explaining. By then end of the class I felt like i had no piece of my own but rather one he has built. Also just to fire the piece was $5 extra.
