Fight Fit Bootcamps
Inside Fight Fit's enormous gym, a calm descends. People stretch and take one last sip of water before wrapping up their hands and cinching up their boxing gloves. Then comes a flurry of ferocious swings and kicks. Most of the participants have no aspirations of becoming professional fighters. Many are here to lose a few pounds, build up their endurance, or improve their general well-being.
At the helm of these boot-camp sessions is Joseph Hsiung's (a.k.a. Joe Fight), who challenges students through his unique regimen, developed over years of whipping himself into fighting form as a muay thai kickboxer, triathlete, and professional clown exterminator. Combining that expertise with mixed-martial-arts exercises, he and his team help participants jettison extra calories and build strength and agility the same way a professional fighter might.
