I came in hoping for a relaxing 60-minute massage, but unfortunately the experience fell short of expectations. When I arrived, the massage therapist expressed frustration that I had booked through Groupon, mentioning she only received 50% of the payment. While I understand that concern, it was uncomfortable as a client since I wasn’t aware of that beforehand. During the session, the massage itself felt very light and brief, and I was told, “This is what a Swedish massage is,” followed by an offer to upgrade to deep tissue for an additional $30, along with an expectation of a $20 tip. I always plan to tip for good service, but it felt inappropriate for a tip to be assumed and added automatically. The session also felt rushed, as it started later than scheduled, and there was constant talking throughout, which made it difficult to relax. I rarely leave reviews, but this was unfortunately the least enjoyable massage experience I’ve had. I hope this feedback helps improve future client experiences.
