What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We're mentors and coaches educating people who need accelerated weight loss due to health or a momentous deadline (wedding day, photo-shoot, job-related fitness test). Our goals are to educate our clients during a short-term commitment, and provide them with tools they can continue to use on their own.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Motivation is the number one tool to maintaining fitness. We use our clients' goals to create leverage and set weekly milestones in order to maintain a high level of motivation and accountability. We use multiple tools (scale, mediation, BMI, etc.) as daily metrics to evaluate progress and motivate.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Dolph Colon lost over 168 pounds in 1994. He noticed the needs of the morbidly obese weren't being met. So, he made it his life mission to invent and discover tools that would [help] those with chronic weight-loss issues and eating disorders. Later, he mentored a team of friends he named his "Fit Ministry."
What do you love most about your job?
Clients with eating disorders, or anyone who continues to struggle with weight loss, require specific skills in order to continue succeeding. Nothing is more gratifying than to witness the face of a client that has learned those skills and the feeling of empowerment you can give.
