A Chat with Fitunique
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
A B.S. degree in physical education and a M.Ed. degree in intervention has given me the education to help cater to the client’s needs. An AFPA and TRX personal trainer certification and 20 years as a trainer and athlete have also given me the tools for success.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
First, a good personal trainer is a good listener. He or she should not be more interested in impressing you with health and fitness wisdom than understanding your desires and goals. Second, workouts are varied and fun. Third, tracking progress is a must!
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I can help clients who may be intimated to go into the gym, maybe because they’ve never exercised before and don’t know what exercises are effective. I cater to those who may not like the atmosphere of a gym and need special help in feeling comfortable working out.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing positive change in people’s lives. Getting healthier makes people happier and that really makes me smile!
