About Frank + Oak
Frank + Oak has a defined aesthetic that's progressive yet classic, well-made yet affordable, and androgynous yet tailored to men's and women's bodies. As InStyle explained, it's the sort of clothing a bicoastal creative—or someone who aspires to dress like one—would feel comfortable wearing for work, happy-hour drinks, or Sunday brunch.
The Montreal-based company launched in 2012 providing direct-to-consumer menswear (i.e., no middlemen between design and distribution) with a chill, minimalist style. It expanded into women's apparel in 2016. However, there's not a ton of difference between the two lines: both focus on "elevated basics," including oxford shirts, cotton tees, crewneck sweaters, denim, outerwear, and sneakers. Collections are updated on a monthly basis. The women's collection features trendier items, such as cropped pants and '90s-inspired knit dresses.
Frank + Oak also offers personal-styling services (online and in its handful of brick-and-mortar stores). Shoppers answer a few questions to help a personal stylist select pieces; then they choose what they want to keep.
