Horrible Service though out. The service was horrible. When booking our stay my wife asked about dietary needs for celiac and we were told to email the chef and we would be taken care of. My wife emailed two weeks prior zero response, I then emailed one week prior zero response. We asked several people while there about the food ingredients and none of then would give us a answer and or find someone that could give us an answer. The girl at the ice cream shop just rolled her eyes and said I don't know and stood there with RBF. We had to go outside the resort to get gluten free food for our kids. We were also given a food credit for the package we bought and no one could tell us if it went to our room or the food credit very frustrating. We were given cups as part of our package that could be refilled every ten minutes but on Saturday at 2 pm they were out of ice and most sodas, by 4 pm all sodas were out. The inside pool area was filthy, stacks of pizza boxes everywhere you turned, band aids on the floor and in the water, melted ice cream in the walk ways and no one seemed to care. I will say the lady at the store where we got our cups was very helpful but that was the only person. For the price we paid it was on par with Disney! All I can say Great wolf is you need to do better!! For what you charge there is far better service out there for a better cost and value.

Bad Changes We have been coming to this location yearly since 2017. This was our first visit since the renovation last year. I'm disappointed with the makeover. It looks far too contemporary. All of the kid friendly decor has been removed from the lobby and outdoor entrance. There were practically no Halloween decorations compared to years past. New ticketing gates have been installed at the entrances/exits causing you to wait in line. A new daily parking fee exists. The newer ticketing kiosks inside had way to many hiccups also causing long lines. We didn't see any wolf characters in the lobby or buffet areas as in the past. The breakfast buffet has less options. There is no wolf howl in the wave pool indicating when the waves are coming. It's almost like the name should be changed to Great Lodge instead. I will say the room we stayed in was just fine.

Filth abounds in an overpriced children's wonderland. Save your money, don't bother with this place. Extremely understaffed. They gave us the wrong room--I specifically upgraded to a balcony room but they gave us one on the first floor. Which would have been fine, since it's by the indoor waterpark, except they have a problem with their plumbing/pipes and there was a vague smell of sewage everywhere. Literal black/brown filth was pooling around some of the drains in the indoor waterpark. While there, I observed another patron who was literally covered head to toe in a visible skin rash--pinkish red spots indicative of measles, rubella, or rubeola. VISIBLE. SKIN. RASH. This person should not have been allowed into the waterpark with a contagious illness. It puts EVERYONE THIS PERSON COMES INTO CONTACT WITH AT RISK. Which is an especially serious problem for this place since it is apparently NEVER CLEANED. The first restaurant we ate at was buffet-style, and the stack of "clean" plates had food on them. Like, actual food--mashed potatoes or something, I don't know, but I saw it with my own eyes and touched it with my own hands, SO I KNOW THERE WERE STACKS OF UNWASHED PLATES THAT THEY SAID WERE CLEAN. The silverware at our table was not washed; there was DRIED BLOOD on one spot of our bathroom wall; the wristbands didn't work at all, so we had to just keep giving our room number or just paying with our credit card anyway. We had the Adventure Family Pass or whatever, plus another one so the kids could do the MagiQuest thing (which they loved, so good job with that, even if it's annoying trying to fight through a sea of people just to access the hallway to your room). We booked two nights, stayed one, and won't be going back. I do want to be fair here and say that there were a couple of highlights; it ain't all bad. The Tornado slide is awesome--the look on my daughter's face during that drop moment almost made it worth suffering the rest of the nonsense shenanigans in the indoor waterpark. ALMOST. Lifeguards were on-point, or at least the couple I saw were; again, this place is HORRIFICALLY UNDERSTAFFED. So you got one guy running back and forth at the lazy river because it's too shallow, there are too many people, and somebody could get crushed under a float, and you got another guy over by the wave pool, and then you have ONE GUY running THREE SLIDES. I saw one person perform quadruple roles as host, waiter, bartender, and COOK. One member of cleaning staff for MULTIPLE AREAS, which would be fine, except the sheer amount of people you have staying in this place NECESSITATES MORE STAFF. The people running the outdoor ropes course were stellar, amazing, awesome, etc, but I guess you kind of have to put the best people where the HARNESSES AND 20 FOOT BEAMS ARE. This attraction was the only one that even APPROACHED being fully staffed (how many times am I going to say that word? AS MANY TIMES AS IT TAKES! Hire more staff!) And while you're at it, Bill is the most patient guy under the sun; if I had to explain over and over again to people why they can't be wearing crocs and flip-flops on the ropes course (AS THEY STAND THERE IN FRONT OF THE SIGN SPELLING IT OUT) I would lose my mind. That guy needs a raise, but they probably won't give him one, because clearly they're broke, which is why they can't hire more STAFF, right? STAFF. STAAAAAFFFFF. Okay, I'm done. Don't spend your money here, people. At least not until they hire more staff.
