Wish the rooms and furniture were modern. Everything was old including the televisions. They didn't have flat screen televisions. The cabinets in the rooms were broken, I probably won't stay there again. The carpet was dirty like you can tell it hadn't been washed and the shower had some mold.

Orlando, Florida: World-Famous Theme Parks and Cultural Surprises

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks—the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. Spanning roughly 30,000 acres, it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and Disney Springs® . There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. Walk across the park to sample Moroccan cuisine for lunch, or ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. Before heading back to the hotel, take in the nightly fireworks, laser, and water show. One of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is also home to Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld, and Gatorland.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

About a 10-minute drive north, you’ll find eight cultural institutions at Loch Haven Park, including the Orlando Museum of Art, which houses work by Georgia O’Keeffe, Robert Rauschenberg, Ansel Adams, and Andy Warhol. The park is also home to the Orlando Shakespeare Theater, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orlando Science Center, where you can a rover across a simulation of Mars or race on a 70-foot pinewood derby track.

Would stay here again Got here in the middle of a storm had a lovely warm welcome from Roxy. The 2 bedroom suite we stayed in was clean and spacious with lovely comfy beds. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash was all supplied. The kitchen had a coffee maker, big fridge freezer and a 2 ring job with cutlery and crockery. Also has a sponge washing up liquid and dishwasher with a couple of tablets. Unfortunately one night the fire alarm went off, there was no clear direction from any staff or checks made that everyone was safe. Luckily it was a false alarm. We were also there in hurricane Milton again there was no communication from the hotel as to what to do or expect, which being from England and never experiencing a hurricane before was a bit scary. They have a laundry on site which is really useful and it's very close to all amenities.

The good, the bad, the ugly We stayed at the Sonesta suites for two weeks and found all of the staff very friendly and helpful. The suite was average size, brightly decorated and adequately equipped if you wanted to self cater (however be aware that they do not provide any cleaning products). The bed was a good size, comfortable and had very soft pillows. There’s no specific wardrobes but hanging space is provided + hangers and a few drawers. Also had an ironing board and iron. The pool was small but the hot tub’s a good size and not too hot. We have stayed here multiple times but I have to say the standard is starting to drop. They used to have sun loungers around the pool and on the mezzanine level however this year (2024) they only had 19 loungers around the pool and the mezzanine level just had tables and chairs and two cabana style beds for a hotel that caters for a large number of guests. We found ourselves on a number of occasions not being able to sunbath on an afternoon as the beds were all taken. The suites are also perfectly positioned for access to lots of restaurants/bars. Now, unfortunately I hate to say it, but there are a few bad points. The first thing we think is important for you to be aware of is that the water temperate of the shower fluctuates between cool and scalding hot. We burned ourselves so many times, so please be careful, especially if you have children with you. The suite itself had an awful musty damp smell to it, which we know can happen if the AC is turned off, but ours was on all the time. The maid service was very minimal, they simply made the bed, emptied bins and gave clean towels every 3 days. The suite was supposed to have a ‘full service’ every 5 days but I’m not sure if this was ever done. The worst thing for us was the floor. It was so dirty that we had to resort to wearing socks/flip flops all the time. We’ve added a photo of a pair of socks after one day (but bear in mind we were out most of the day!!) Our experience this year was so disappointing we have chosen not to return due to the many issues we had. I will end by saying the desk staff were very friendly and also did everything in their power to make your stay more comfortable.
