High quality meats though limited selection. Can be difficult to find though worth it.

Fantastic meat! They also offer local, farm fresh pasture-raised eggs, and a variety of other food products. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

It is not easy to find. It is behind a high iron fence, in the back of the building. This meat is not cheap, but it is a delicacy and healthy.

What You'll Get

Cuts of meat are like rap lyrics—the fresher they are, the higher their purveyor's status is with local grandmothers. Drop some lyrical damage on your mouth with today's side deal. For $15, you get $30 worth of meat, grilling accessories, sweets, or merchandise from Gaucho Ranch.

Gaucho Ranch's beef comes straight from the grassy lowlands of Uruguay, where cattle roam free like bovine bikers in search of the meaning of life, while gauchos, the traditional South American cowboys, whisper sweet nothings into their ears. Fed on natural grass and clover, these cows will later magically turn into rib eye steaks ($53.99 for four 12 oz. steaks), burgers ($6.99 for a pound), and picahna ($34.99 for three pounds) with lower cholesterol, lower fat, and more beta-carotene, omega-3, and vitamin E than cuts of beef from cows gorging on corn feed or leftover pizza.

In addition to delectable dairymakers, Gaucho Ranch offers items such as barbecue salt, candy bars, and mate, the national drink of Argentina. Gaucho Rancho also sells an assortment of merchandise, including T-shirts and how-to DVDs to bring along to the next gaucho gift exchange.

Gaucho Ranch was featured in the Miami Herald and on NBC News. Thrillist, Daily Candy, and Miami New Times' Delectable Deals blog recommend it.

  • …world-renowned GR just began distributing the stuff to restos via their new Miami loft/warehouse, and more importantly, will let any man off the street walk in with cash and walk out with cow. Down in Uruguay, GR's Hereford cattle live an idyllic free-range, grass-fed life, resulting in leaner meat, lower cholesterol, higher omega-3 fatty acids, and robust flavor; following the final gaucho round-up, the all hormone-/antibiotic-free beef's butchered, then vacuum-packed (and never, ever frozen) and wet-aged in its own juices while being shipped to the Estados Unidos, where we recommend hormones and antibiotics for aging, and juices. – Thrillist
  • Different cuts of beef are sold in four-packs (skirt and ribeye) and singles (skirt, strip and ribeye). If you're so inclined, you can also splurge on a tenderloin...Ground beef is sold in five-pound packs but Liberato tells us he will soon be selling it in smaller quantities. He also sells chorizo and chimichurri prepared by Don Julio, an 80-year-old expert in Uruguayan-style grilling... – Paula Niño, Delectable Deals

About Gaucho Ranch

These days, it's hard to know what exactly you're eating when you’re eating beef—even if you cooked it yourself. The modern meat industry pumps their cattle full of antibiotics and hormones that make the meat seem more appealing while being worse for your health. Besides that, they don't feed the cows their natural diet of grass and clover, opting for cheaper corn and grain instead. Gaucho Ranch aims to change all that. Drawing on the old gaucho tradition of South America, they import their beef from a family farm in Uruguay, where it is guaranteed to be raised entirely naturally and humanely, being fed exactly what nature intended for them to eat: grass and clover. The result are beautiful cuts of beef that are lower in cholesterol and fat, higher in Omega 3s, antioxidants and Vitamin E, with its characteristic country fresh flavor.
