Bob Eubanks and The Not So Newlywed Game
The polyester leisure suits and afros may have been replaced with more modern fashions, but the classic questions are just as relevant. "What was the first meal your wife ever cooked for you?" or "Was your last whoopee session for better or for worse?" Since its 1966 premiere The Newlywed Game has tested the strength of marital bonds and skirted the censors when it came to bedroom activities. For The Not So Newlywed Game, the original host, Bob Eubanks, returns to his rightful place at the podium, questioning eight randomly selected couples about their wedding night and beyond. Competitors have a chance to win a shopping spree from Badcock Furniture or a deluxe night spent on the couch, and one audience member will have a chance to win $100,000.
The Lakeland Center
It's almost easier to count who hasn't played at the Lakeland Center than who has. Since the all-purpose venue opened in 1974, its many halls have seen such stars as Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Jerry Seinfeld, Prince, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, and Kathy Gifford. Besides the top-tier lineup of music and comedy acts, The Lakeland Center also hosts theatrical productions, conventions and festivals, and seasonal ice skating for all ages.
