Broadway’s Next Hit Musical
Like any musical, Broadway’s Next Hit Musical has showtunes you’ll remember once the curtain closes, but with one major difference: it’s all being written as you hear it. Performed by a group of world-class improvisers, the show begins with a bowl full of suggested song titles dreamed up by the audience. The improvisers pick four of the titles, then come up with a song for every one of them on the spot, as well as the title and plot of the imaginary musical each showtune is from. The performers sing all four songs, the audience votes on the best one, and, after intermission, the ensemble stages a full musical based around the winning entry.
