What You'll Do
Miriana Andreeva refers to scoby as the "Mother," and for good reason. In the kombucha world, everything begins with a scoby—an acronym that stands for "symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast"—the cluster of specimen responsible for fermenting the tea. In this class, you'll get an in-depth look at the kombucha-brewing process and enjoy samples of different flavors of the beverage, which provides an array of health benefits that you'll learn throughout the session. At the end, you'll depart with your own organic kombucha blend, as well as a new "Mother" that you can use to brew new batches of kombucha at home.
