About Westchester Knicks

The Westchester County Knicks were founded in March 2014, and they tipped of their inaugural season that November. In doing so, they became the 18th franchise of the NBA's Developmental League, as well as Westchester County's first-ever professional sports franchise. A name-the-team contest saw them adopt the Knickerbocker moniker of their NBA affiliate, as well as the classic orange, blue, and white color scheme that has become synonymous with New York basketball. During games, fans can expect a festive, family friendly environment, highlighted by dancers and off-the-court fun. They can also expect to see some of the sport's rising stars before they move on to the NBA.
