A Chat with Got Legacy
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Got Legacy is the only Triangle-based memory-keeping service that preserves their clients favorite photos onsite. Photos are then used to create unique slideshows and unforgettable life-history videos.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
After losing my last remaining grandparent, I realized I’d lost her stories of the good ol’ days and an irreplaceable link to our past. I made it my mission to help others preserve their priceless family pictures and stories while there was still time so they could share them with those they love.
What do you love most about your job?
The complete satisfaction of knowing I’ve done something truly meaningful to each family served. Anyone who has lost a loved one knows what it means to keep their memory alive. We are saving lives when we capture those stories and preserve their most meaningful pictures.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer?
Recently, we scanned some 2,000 pictures for an 86-year-young widow of a WWII veteran. Many of them were over 100 years. She was legally blind, so after we finished, we displayed them on the big screen, and she gasped as if she were seeing them for the first time. What a great feeling!
