The Scots developed golf to irk common loch pests, such as merats, locharoaches, and Nessie, who to this day rarely surfaces for fear of being beaned by a well-aimed ball. Brush up your monster-vexing skills with today's Groupon: for $55, you get one day-long golf outing at Grande Pines Golf Club, which includes unlimited golf, a cart, and one bag of range balls, plus lunch at the Greenside Grille during your day of play (up to a $150 total value). Golfers can tee off at Grande Pines anytime Monday through Thursday, or after 10 a.m. Friday through Sunday or on holidays. The well-groomed greens are located just off of International Drive, next to Marriott's Grande Vista Resort.

Collaboratively designed by renowned golf-course architect Steve Smyers and champion golfer Nick Faldo, Grande Pines is a dynamic and sophisticated course that provides exciting challenges to players of all skill levels. The layout thoughtfully integrates the surrounding natural arbor and lakes for a picturesque and peaceful getaway that will make your spike-clad Mii green with greens-envy. During your full day of unlimited play, you will be able to practice your putt and pendulum swing to your heart's and club's content, masterfully maneuvering your way through the 18-hole course from behind the helm of a golf cart. Because it generally takes at least a few hours to complete a full round of golf at Grande Pines, most players should expect their full day to include two times through with a break for lunch.

Recharge in between rounds at the Greenside Grille, treating your taste buds to an entree, side, and soft drink of your choice from the menu of casual lunch fare. The pressed Cuban sandwich ($8) serves up layers of ham, pork, salami, swiss cheese, and Dijon on a hoagie roll to put some protein-power behind your putter, and options such as the chicken-caesar salad ($8.75) and the tuna-salad croissant ($8) will help you sneak up on unsuspecting holes by keeping you light on your feet.

Must call at least one week in advance to reserve tee times. This Groupon is not valid for groups of more than 12 people.

Reviews

Golf Orlando Florida gives Grande Pines a good review, and GolfLink reviewers give it an average of four stars:

  • Considered by golfers to be one of the best Orlando golf courses, Grande Pines features quality course conditions with a splendid layout. Contoured, gently rolling fairways with numerous ponds and enhanced landscaping are all bordered by tall natural pines, oaks and palms. Numerous undulating greens are elevated and many are well-protected by artfully crafted bunkers. – GolfOrlandoFlorida Editor
  • A great golf course! Scenic and includes many different difficult sand traps! Over all a really fun course to play its worth every penny! – Zach_D, GolfLink
  • The Greens were beautifully maintained and the surrounding landscaping in and around the fairways made it scenically pleasing, and although it does wind through a vacation village, the buildings do not impose on the course too much. – BogeyBob1, GolfLink
