What You'll Get
Welcome to Groupon, Greensboro! For our inaugural deal, you get half off at Great Harvest Bread Co. located at 2715-A Grandview Ave.. Since this is everyone's first Groupon, allow us to briefly explain how it works.
How Groupon Works
Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of Greensboro: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power."
If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (10 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons, or redeem them with our iPhone app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in one year. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!
Without bread, flour would be so abundant it'd coat the entire earth in a fine white powder, causing museum curators to accidentally collect hibernating bears that appear petrified. Keep flour where it belongs with today's deal: for $5, you get $10 worth of freshly baked breads, baked goods, drinks, and more at Great Harvest Bread Co. on Grandview Avenue.
Great Harvest’s breads, which are baked with premium whole wheat from family-owned farms in Montana, come in more than 20 flavors that change daily ($5–$7.50 per loaf). On Tuesday, stock up on red-white-and-blueberry and cinnamon-chip whole-wheat loaves to slice and cuddle for comfort during scary thunderstorms. Freshly baked focaccia is available on Saturdays and Wednesdays, and high-protein breads in a variety of varieties (including cheddar-garlic and cinnamon-raisin) are freshly baked throughout the week. For those preferring breaded delights that are easily juggled, there are scones, muffins, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and bars on Great Harvest’s sweets menu. Vegan cinnamon rolls ($1.50) and muffins are also available, as is hot coffee.
Great Harvest’s devotion to the art of bread making is audible in the early morning, when its on-site mill softly hums as it grinds grain into flour. All the freshly ground flour is used soon after it's milled, so loaves plump superbly in the oven. Each freshly baked bread bundle has been kneaded individually by hand and comes out of the oven with old-timey, fun-to-slice irregularity.
- This is a great bakery! I recommend going in to get their printed calendar to know what they will be baking fresh on each day. They always have samples available and they even have vegan options! – Susan A., Insider Pages
- Fresh, delicious sandwiches are what usually attract me to Great Harvest, but I always end up leaving with a loaf of Cinnamon Chip bread as well… –Sherry R., Yelp
