What You'll Get
The Issue: Students Living in Poverty in Metro Detroit Area
More than 31,000 homeless Michigan students attended school in the 2010–2011 school year, 8,500 more than the previous year, according to an article in the Detroit Free Press. The report also states that the number of homeless students in Michigan has risen more than 300% in the last four years alone.
The Campaign: Distributing School Supplies to Youth

The backpacks will contain pencils, a spiral notebook, a glue stick, a ruler, and crayons to help prepare the children for the upcoming school year. Affinity Group Credit Union will also match all donations up to $500.
