According to the World Health Organization, approximately 12 million children live with visual impairment due to refractive errors that could be easily diagnosed and corrected. The Children’s Eye Foundation works to eliminate preventable vision loss in children via screenings to detect problems in preliterate youth.
Through its national vision-screening program, See by Three, the Children's Eye Foundation trains medical professionals, screens young children for vision impairment, and raises public awareness on vision problems. The organization will provide screenings for 80 children ages 3–5 to detect and treat disorders such as amblyopia and strabismus that can lead to vision loss if left untreated. The foundation has screened 10,000 young children since its inception, improving the quality of screenings along the way and providing them at an early age to prevent unnecessary vision loss.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help fund vision screenings for children. If G-Team members raise $400, then the Children’s Eye Foundation can conduct vision screenings for 80 children ages 3–5, with all donations matched up to $3,000 by the board of the Children’s Eye Foundation. Each additional $10 raised—with the matching donation—will fund vision screenings for two more children.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
All donations will be matched up to a $3,000 total by the board of the Children's Eye Foundation.
