What You'll Get
The inability to leave the house due to age or physical imparity may force individuals to skip meals and limit their access to social engagements. Meals on Wheels and More delivers both healthy food and friendly conversation to homebound Austinites.
Every morning, Meals on Wheels and More volunteers prepare nutritionally balanced meals for delivery around lunchtime. Volunteers personally greet each community member and hand him or her a warm dish. Meals help seniors and those with disabilities to eat healthy on low or fixed incomes, as well as maintain their independence. Volunteers deliver an average of 4,000 meals each day.
Join G-Team and donate $15 to help Meals on Wheels and More deliver nutritious meals to homebound Austinites. If G-Team members raise $600, then Meals on Wheels and More can provide a week of lunchtime meals for 40 community members. Each additional $30 raised will provide a week's worth of meals for another homebound Austinite.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
