The YWCA Madison supports women of all ages and racial backgrounds with a comprehensive slew of programming, including affordable housing, racial- and restorative-justice programs, education and job training, affordable transportation, and afterschool enrichment. YWCA’s Third Street program provides single parents and their children with affordable housing in a safe neighborhood and helps them achieve self-reliance. Prior to living at Third Street, 70% of residents experienced homelessness and 88% of residents experienced trauma.
Every winter, the YWCA’s Third Street program hosts its holiday party, a meal for more than 150 single-parent families held at the Madison Children's Museum. After families reconnect and enjoy a freshly cooked meal, Santa arrives to greet the children and take pictures with them. Families also receive gifts to give to their children to celebrate the holiday season. Third Street still needs help funding the event to cover the costs of food and the Santa-suit rental.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help families celebrate and reconnect over a holiday meal. If G-Team members raise $400, then YWCA Madison can fund a holiday meal and kids' picture with Santa for 40 single-parent families for its annual holiday party. Each additional $10 raised will fund a holiday meal and kids' picture with Santa for another single-parent family.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
