What You'll Get
Golf was most likely introduced to North America via Nova Scotia, brought by pilgrims fleeing their native highlands in search of freedom to swing drivers higher and putt in flashier plaids. Draw inspiration from ancient amnesty with today's Groupon: for $44, you get a $100 practice on-demand key card (an $88 value) at The Harvest Golf Club on K.L.O. Road. Guests do not have to register for a membership in order to use the facility.
Voted Best Central Okanagan Golf Course from 2001–2010 by Okanagan Life Magazine , The Harvest Golf Club surrounds golfers with more than 45 acres of scenic orchards and vineyards. Soft-hitting iron-swingers can train their eagle eyes on the practice facility's 16,000 square feet of grass tees, a 1,800-square-foot putting green, and two dedicated chipping greens, complete with overbearing sand bunkers. An on-demand key card empowers its master to obtain more than 750 dimpled orbs at the ball dispenser, eliminating the need to traverse treacherous nine iron-carved ravines to the golf shop to purchase balls in individual buckets ($11 for large 90-ball bucket). The practice facility is also staffed with CPGA–certified instructors to help golfers stay on top of their game and debts to putt-putt mafias. Key cards can be used over multiple visits, but the facility is open seasonally.
The Harvest Golf Club tempts golfers to pick while they play with the pastoral allure of "agri-golf," which decks the fairways with on-course fruit trees bearing apples and three varieties of wine grapes. Guests can also enjoy the Okanagan lakeside vistas from the Clubhouse and Harvest Grille veranda as they slough sweat from post-battle brows.
