What You'll Get
Like suntans and the ability to throw knives at apples on top of totem poles, golf skills disappear if you don't keep working at them. Keep the magic alive with today's Groupon: for $30, you get a punch card good for 10 buckets of range balls (a $40 value) and a one-hour group lesson (a $20 value) at Highland Pacific Golf (a $67.20 total value, including HST).
Voted one of the Top 100 Driving Ranges in America by the Golf Range Association of America, Highland Pacific Golf’s range challenges club swingers with more than 300 yards of driving distance. Players employ their reloadable range card to get 10 large buckets of 45 range balls and shoot at trash-talking clouds from individually heated stalls at a two-tiered artificial-turf tee line. Aim for distance markers around water features, and take advantage of the tee line and range’s lights for evening swings or incubating eggs.
Improvement seekers learn to stand up to grass’s heckling in one-hour group drop-in lessons held throughout the week. Guided by CPGA teaching professionals, players gain course confidence as they cover a range of specific topics such as putting, chipping, and driving on a natural-turf green and practice sand trap. Postlesson, players can swap golf-related baby names at the Range Café's trellised outdoor patio, sating stomachs with a variety of imported brews, appetizers, and daily specials.

About Highland Pacific Golf
Situated on 190 lush acres along Thetis Lake, the Pacific Nine and Highland Nine courses encourage golfers to tackle them while drinking in views of the Olympic Mountains, Thetis Lake Park, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Cybergolf calls the Pacific Nine “truly sublime,” and Canadian Golfer—which lauds the course as being on “the must-play list”—marvels at the tricky contours of its par-4 fifth hole. Although more compact than its sister, the Highland Nine is challenging on its own terms, with uphill approaches that end in fast greens, as well as a number of downhill par 3s. Making matters better, the course features GPS-equipped golf carts, PGA instruction, food and drink at the Range Cafe, and a 300-yard-deep driving range that boasts heated stalls.
