About HIT FIT SF
The HIT in HIT Fit SF has two meanings: it's at once an acronym, meaning high intensity training, and a fitness mantra—sometimes the best way to work out is to hit, hit, HIT. As a former boxing champ, founder Simon Redmond is quite familiar with just how effective a boxer's training regimen can be, even for non–Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. At Hit Fit, Simon and his team of certified trainers teach authentic boxing techniques and conditioning in their Cardio Boxing classes, and also offer TRX Suspension Circuit Training classes to create intense, heart-pumping programs. Inside the 5,000 square foot gym, 20 heavy bags and 35 TRX stations headline a collection of equipment that also includes battle ropes, kettlebells, medicine balls, agility ladders, free weights, rowers, and bikes. Exercisers utilize all of this equipment during various different classes, including beginner boxing sessions that focus on jabs, crosses, hooks, and footwork. The owners of HIT FIT also own Polk St. Gym, which resides in the Polk Gulch neighborhood.
