- Family skating facility

- Quad, in-line, or speed skates
When roller skates first hit the scene, sports critics felt the idea of hook and looping military-grade hummers to a rider’s feet was both unfashionable and life threatening. Celebrate the more-refined roller skate and its slender cousin, the rollerblade, with today’s deal. For $4, you get one admission ($5–$9 depending on the time) and skate rental ($1–$3 for quad, in-line, or speed skates, depending on the time) to Jellybeans Super Skate Center, off I-40 on Buck Jones Road (up to a $10 total value). Each Groupon is good for any regular free skate except Friday evenings. Plan ahead by checking the full calendar. This Groupon is not valid at the Common Oaks Drive location.
Based on your experience or decade allegiance, choose from the classic four-wheeled or contemporary in-line or speed skates. Fully equipped, you and your party will enter the maple hardwood rink like roller-skating prop comics entering the stage of the Laff Factory. As you skate, you may notice your lap speed steadily increasing to the beat of Jellybeans’ eclectic dance mix. From the oldies to the goodies, the music comes to life as oscillating compression waves that travel through the air and hit your ears at a frequency between 12 Hz and 20 kHz.
Jellybeans has been rolling it old school for the better part of a decade, providing free-spirited free skaters with hand-holding opportunities guaranteed to warrant the coveted yes/no/maybe note. Sweaty-palmed skaters can always step out for a thirst quencher at the snack bar, or win the gal of their dreams a prize in the Jellybeans arcade. Offering more than just skating, the facility is an ideal weekend spot for children at heart and actual children alike.
Reviews
Three Insider Pagers give Jellybeans four stars, while seven Judy’s Book users give a rating of 3.9: > * Jellybeans is a great place for a family to spend a Saturday afternoon… It is so clean and never too crowded. The staff is really helpful. It is a great day out for a family. – Andrew K., Insider Pages > * My girls beg to go there, and I don’t have any problems taking them. It has a nice family atmosphere, and the kids there are well behaved… I can’t deal with someone knocking them over! I’ve never had to deal with unruly big kids, because all the big kids are polite! – Haley G., Judy’s Book

About Jellybeans Super Skate Center
The sound of rubber wheels rolling and clacking across a hardwood floor is a familiar one to generations of American families. At Jellybeans Super Skate Center, those wheels roll to the beat of both contemporary pop music and golden oldies in a winking nod to roller skating's timelessness. As the music mingles with the sound of laughter, colored lights trace patterns on the hardwood floor and the skaters gliding along on both quad and inline skates. During breaks, skaters can also refuel with pizza and snacks at the concession stand and give their upper extremities a workout in the arcade. In addition to open skates, the center hosts birthday parties and skating classes, which teach four-wheeled fundamentals to aspiring skaters.
