Instructor Jessica Roland Pratt formerly served as co-director of Junior Tennis at Mac 360 Tennis Academy of Austin, Texas and as the women’s-league coach for the Ladies of Courtyard Tennis Club. Several of her former students have gone on to receive college scholarships.
What’s one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Each player is unique and Jessica’s instruction offers a custom approach to evaluating strengths and weaknesses and improving overall performance.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Jessica has been successfully teaching for the last 15 years and takes great pride in the boost of her student’s increased fitness, self esteem, and enthusiasm for the sport. She recently relocated to Lake Arrowhead and continues to bring her message of empowerment to mountain tennis.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most is the moment of surprise: the look on a student’s face when they accept a challenge, overcome an obstacle, and achieve a goal.
