What You'll Get
Unlike other bat-and-ball games such as cricket, indoor cricket, and single-wicket cricket, baseball doesn't make silences awkward. Today's Groupon alternates enthusiastic cheers with reflective bites of hot dog: for $19, you get two box-seat tickets, two souvenir baseballs, and two meal vouchers at your choice of four Lake County Captains games against the Dayton Dragons on Monday, April 11; Tuesday, April 12; Wednesday, April 13; or Thursday, April 14 (up to a $42 value). All games begin at 7 p.m. and take place at fan-friendly Classic Park in Eastlake.
The Captains—the single-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and 2010 champions of the Midwest League—showcase the potential big leaguers of the future for the enjoyment of baseball buffs and fun-seeking families alike. Tickets purchased via today’s deal will be available for pick-up at will call on or before any of the four game dates. Groupon holders will get to pick two tickets from any available seats in the box section, which boasts the best of the ballpark's 7,000 perches with unobstructed views (up to an $18 value). With no limit on the number of Groupons per person, grab enough to treat the whole family or an entire Bunco league to an evening of potent pitching and brilliant batsmanship.
As you bond with your boxmates, you can turn the souvenir baseball in your hand (each a $5 value) , imagining what it's like to be on the field, or organize a food-finding mission at the concession stand for a mid-inning meal. Each concession voucher is good for a bag of Shearer's chips, a Coca-Cola product, and your choice of pizza slice, hamburger, or hot dog (each a $7 value). Take advantage of special prizes and promotions, including a free championship banner fleece blanket to the first 1,500 fans on April 11, and 10-cent domestic draft beer for an hour before game time on April 14. Dogs who dream of playing in a future Puppy World Series can come along on Tuesday, April 12, with a $5 Pooch Pass.

About Lake County Captains
Like many minor league teams, the Lake County Captains Professional Baseball Club didn't start out with their current name or even in their current state. The Columbus (GA) Indians were founded in 1991, and a year later, they became the RedStixx. It wasn't until 2003 that the franchise moved to Eastlake, Ohio, where they adopted the Captains moniker and caught their first bluegill. That same year, the newly established Captains opened Classic Park, the 6,150-seat facility that mixes nostalgic charm with modern features.
