What to expect:
If you're brand new then you'll find that our beginners program teaches a solid base of fundamentals in jiu jitsu that are rooted in real self-defense. During class we frequently look at the movements from the perspective of a real self-defense situation so you understand exactly how they fit in.
In our beginners curriculum we teach everything from how to fall safely, to how to take a person down from standing, to how to defend yourself when stuck under an aggressor, to how to incapacitate your opponent with a variety of joint locks and chokes.
It's a fully featured curriculum designed thoughtfully by our head instructor to give you a solid base in jiu jitsu whether your goal is solely self-defense or you'd like to learn sport jiu jitsu for competition.
Speaking of competition, did you know adults can compete in jiu jitsu? We do offer intermediate, advanced, and competition classes as well if you'd like to further hone your skills.
If you're a brand new beginner then you'll be at first limited to the beginner classes and open mat, but can soon branch into intermediate and advanced if you stick with it.
If you have training experience then you can come to all classes right off the bat.
