We offer a range of classes from beginner to advanced with a high level of personalized instruction. Head Instructor, Marvin Lee, holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has been practicing the martial art for over 10 years. Long Beach Jiu Jitsu prides itself on its ego free environment.

Is your location strictly for adults, or can kids participate as well?
Kids, Teens and Adults can all enjoy the benefits of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Our current students range in age from 5-50 years old.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Long Beach Jiu Jitsu opened in June 2015. Owner and Head Instructor, Marvin Lee, hopes to spread his passion for BJJ to the local community. ” There are many benefits to Jiu Jitsu such as self defense, a fun way to get fit, and most importantly the social support shared by the experience."

What do you love most about your job?
Waking up everyday and helping others to achieve their goals, on and off the mats, is what motivated me to open LBJJ. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a lifestyle that can transform the lives of those who practice it. I have experienced this transformation first hand and want to help others achieve the same.
