Co-ed outdoor boot-camp classes use body-weight exercises and high-intensity training to boost muscle growth, burn fat, and tone bodies. The six-week program includes a complete diagnostic assessment of the body, a metabolic-makeover meal plan designed to help build muscle and aid in weight loss, and unlimited support from head trainer Ed Joseph.

Classes are held at Embarcadero Marina Park South on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6 a.m., San Diego Convention Center on Tuesday and Thursday at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m., and Shelter Island on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6 p.m. Classes at the San Diego Convention Center include stair workouts.

Man Up Boot Camp

Ed Joseph wants to change your body, and he offers a simple, no-frills prescription: work hard and eat right. At Man Up Boot Camp, Ed employs a proven philosophy to jump-start the metabolism, boost muscle growth, and burn calories. Classes get participants sweating mornings and evenings and focus on body-weight exercises and trying to rip streetlights out of the ground in Embarcadero Park or running stairs at the San Diego Convention Center. Ed’s nutritional advice helps distinguish which foods are best to eat, which carbs are ideal, and how best to spice up a meal of quinoa and broccoli.
