Since Izzy Pepic opened Massimo’s Pizza & Pasta in 1981, the eatery has been dishing up hand-crafted pizzas with the love and care of a family-operated restaurant, which it remains to this day. Guests may suspect this fact when they walk in to Massimo's—its walls lined with countless family portraits of both the Pepics and the community's locals.

At the eatery, diners sample the pizzeria's carefully hand-crafted specialty pastas and pies, like the hot mustard-topped pastrami pizza heaping with freshly grated mozzarella, pastrami, and pickles. What's more, the pizzas also can be made-to-order, the Massimo's staff often going above-and-beyond by hand-shaping the dough into holiday shapes, like hearts and gingerbread men, and decorating pies with celebratory announcements and designs, like footballs made from pepperoni.
