What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
I have years of professional experience preparing children with special needs for the STAAR Math Exam. I use various manipulatives and real-world examples to help bridge any gaps in their learning. Working with children who have ADD/ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilites and Autism brings me joy.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
I provide the location at my center after school or I can deliver instruction at your child's day care. Students do not need to bring anything but themselves. In addition, I provide the pencils, paper, manipulatives, online learning tools and review packets. We will create an interactive notebook.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Running a tutoring business for students with special needs gives me joy because I am able to advocate for them. Students with special needs want to succeed. They just need someone to believe in them, teach them good study skills and help them to become responsible for their own learning.
What do you love most about your job?
The part that I love most about my job is working with children with special needs and seeing them succeed. There is nothing like seeing a student smile because they are understanding how to do their math work.
