Reviews
Mix the Bakery was named one of the "Best Things to Eat and Drink in Vancouver 2009" by Vancouver Magazine, and the Georgia Straight named the bakery a Critics' Choice for "Best Specialty Bread Shop."
Mix the Bakery received positive features on food blogs Chow Times and Trails of Bread Crumbs. Yelpers give it a 3.5-star average, and 89 per cent of Urbanspooners like it.
- For a tuna salad sandwich the Tuna Waldorf was surprisingly light on mayonnaise, which kept it from being too heavy. The first thing we noticed about the panini was the walnut bits within the tuna that added more texture to the Panini and ultimately, made it more memorable. Another important mention would be the bread being really fresh. After being lightly toasted on the grill, the bread was super soft while the greens were still crispy and fresh. – Oliver, Trails of Bread Crumbs
- Next we had this Lucia Cake which is a cake top and filled with almonds. The outside of this cake is crusty and has a strong flavour of almond. – Suanne, Chow Times
- Unpretentious little hideaway for sipping coffee and enjoying fresh baked goods. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. – Mason the Practical Foodie, Urbanspoon
