The laser treatment did not do anything for my toes. The appointment was very quick. It consisted of a laser pointed at my toes and was very hot. The podiatrist said I should come back for more laser treatments. One will not do much. He was a very nice and professional doctor. I would not do it again.

I really enjoy meeting this podiatrist. He gave me the big picture of my situation and gave the steps to get better toes conditions.

Lovely, friendly, helpful staff and doctor. I've read reviews that criticize the environment. Do not be put off by the old and sort of shabby offices. Yes, it is an old building. But the care is top-notch and bonus: next door to terrific little mexican restaurant!

Appointment was scheduled by doctor for wrong time and luckily I called to confirm and was told it was 30 minutes earlier. Doctor was grumbling about price and said it should have been more. He examined toes and recommended I get a second treatment in 6 weeks for additional $32.00 plus remove part of toenail for total of $200. Didn’t commit want to see affect of treatment after a month. About Mt. Tam Foot & Ankle

Dr. Howard Ortman's medical career spans more than 30 years, four hospitals, and his own private practice, where he now cares for foot and ankle maladies with both conservative and surgical treatments. He and his staff uphold prompt diagnosis, early intervention, and prevention as essential tenants for maintaining the health of feet. To this end, they use x-rays and diagnostic ultrasounds to uncover pedal woes, perform in-office surgery with safe sedation methods such as local anesthesia, and keep feet aesthetically pleasing with laser treatments for nail fungus, warts, in-grown toenails, and in-grown shoes. In his quest to stay on top of the most advanced techniques, Dr. Ortman regularly attends conferences sponsored by esteemed institutions.
