For years, children have gathered to watch grown-ups dress up like detectives and solve fictitious mysteries via webcams. Today's side deal invites young sleuths to partake in a live, three-hour role-playing quest with Mystery Adventures for $12 (a $25 value). From the home base of the Mystery Inn to staged crime scenes, young detectives join into teams of up to 14 (but no less than six) to uncover the truth behind custom-made mystery scenarios.
Mystery Adventures makes gumshoes out of the pudding-booted by crafting a fully interactive experience that invites players into a world of high intrigue and unraveling puzzlery. Teams of detectives work together and are provided with a chauffer to shuttle them from crime scene to crime scene, to solve their custom-made mystery. A little snack and refreshment is provided while sleuths collect hidden Mystery Stones along the way to compete against one another for special prizes and learn valuable lessons about teamwork and the unbending arc of criminal justice. This tour is great for kids ages 10 to 17 and not recommended for ages younger than nine (although 6-year-olds and up are eligible to participate) due to the PG-13 rating; all children must be with an adult (18+). Mystery quests happen every night of the week at 7 p.m. with extra 1 p.m. adventures on Saturdays and Sundays.
