Throughout the years, Fender and rock music have gone hand in hand. Fender's roots date back to 1946 when Leo Fender, the founder of the company, thought he could produce something a little better than the standard, hollow-body instruments of the day. From this idea, he created a solid-body, Spanish-style electric guitar called the telecaster and a pop-music revolution was born.

Today, Fender has grown to become the world's leading guitar manufacturer crafting instruments ranging from the uniquely-contoured Stratocaster to powerful precision basses. Instruments only tell half the story, however, as they also produce guitar and bass amps as well as various parts and accessories that have kept garage bands humming for decades.
