What You'll Get
Like the seedpod of the sacred lotus, golf courses are filled with holes and cause feelings of euphoria when chewed. Harness happiness with today's Groupon: for $20, you get four large buckets of driving range balls loaded onto a value key at Oasis Greens Golf Centre (a $56 value, including GST).
Oasis Greens Golf Centre is primarily a practice range, not a course itself, with an emphasis on learning ways to improve. The 43 5'x5' stalls (16 with overhead heating) keep inspirational montages private until the big game, and all targets are laser sighted with yardage markers at each tee station, so the swing-insufficient can track where they are going wrong. Those who aren't ready to invest in expensive clubs have access to $2 rental clubs. Four buckets of 105 dimpled club-drubbees make 420 chances to plug up smug water hazards.
Calgary Herald chronicled the opening of Oasis Greens Golf Centre:
- Very simply, the 425,000 square feet of artificial turf that sits on 400,000 tons of gravel encompassing 50 acres will be the Taj Mahal of practice facilities. – Keith B.

About Oasis Greens Golf Centre
Of the 65 tee stations at Oasis Greens Golf Centre's sprawling driving range, 43 are sheltered and 16 are heated so golfers can practice year-round, even if the weather is chilly or candy rains from the sky. The massive artificial-turf landing field measures more than 425,000 square feet and includes nine target flags which are all laser-sighted from each individual tee station.
Elsewhere on the facility's 50-acre grounds, guests can hone their putting skills on "Pebble Beach," the professionally-designed championship mini-golf course with uniquely named holes such as Mulligan’s Misery, Mogul Minefield, and Charly’s Chute. The 18-hole, par-49 course features everything from cascading waterfalls and ponds to creatively designed holes, such as the 17th, aptly named Double Cross, which challenges golfers to choose between overpass and underpass routes in pursuit of a hole-in-one.
