Born and raised in Georgia, Maia Acquaviva moved to the USA in 2007 to continue her career as a plastic surgeon. Far away from her home country, she has nurtured a passion for cooking traditional Georgian specialties. Finally, she let it take over and decided to switch her surgeon’s scalpel to a chef’s knife. Now, many years later, Maia can proudly say that her talent and dedication as a chef have been widely recognized, including praises in the Michelin guide and The New York Times.
