One World Karate teaches classes designed with input from physical, occupational, and behavioral therapists. The owner is a former special education teacher, and his school is for the whole family. There are no other programs like this anywhere.

What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Come as you are! We celebrate our uniqueness, and we focus on building healthy, happy lives.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I grew up in a household with two special needs siblings. My sister is autistic, and my adopted brother has several physical challenges. My whole life I have looked to find ways to help all people live fully realized and happy lives. Martial arts is a perfect vehicle for that growth.

What do you love most about your job?
Seeing the progress made by my students as they learn to maximize their potential and grow into confident, healthy people.
